Who is the Austrian Diabetes Association (ÖDG)?

The Austrian Diabetes Association (ÖDG) is an academic scientific association. Its regular members are medical doctors or PhDs and postgraduates working in scientifically relevant areas. Its associated members are diabetes advisers and dietologists.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Austrian Diabetes Association aims to improve the health of people with diabetes mellitus and associated diseases, and to prevent their development.

It conducts continuing education, research, and disseminates current scientific findings on diabetes mellitus and all related fields.

It advocates for and promotes the continuous improvement of care, quality of life, social participation, and healthy aging for those affected and for people at increased risk of developing the disease.
